La cucaracha

I looked up and there it was. A giant cockroach on my wall. Luckily he wasn't moving so I could take some pictures of him and put it on my blog before I killed it. Usually for like spiders and other little bugs, I let things go outside rather than killing them, but cockroaches are the exception. You can see his beedy eyes like he is saying "I want to make you sick by crapping in your cupboards," or somthing sick like that. On a lighter note, we closed on our house today, if our new house has cockroaches we will be getting pest control. Enjoy!

This image was taken after I smacked him with a dustpan. May he rest in peace. Another gross thing I have learned is that you have to really kill them because sometimes you just knocked them out and then they wake up and you hear them scurrying in your garbage can. Don't worry, I squished this guy good.

My first encounter with one of those monsters was when I was sitting on the toilet and it flew off the wall at me. I was pretty vulnerable, and now I'm scarred for life. And why can't people in the south just admit that they are roaches? Don't give me this crap about them being called "palmetto bugs" or "water bugs". Boooo!!

last night i found a monster cockroach outside and we doused it in lighter fluid. at that point, it may have had an "accident" involving a discarded matchstick.

nephi, how was your leg? did all the fur catch on fire? was it a flash fire like on the bottom of a sport sock?
