my baby boy...happy birthday
Four years ago today we welcomed our first beautiful baby boy into the world. Here is a small tribute to him, the second love of my life. The first day I brought him home from the hospital I was emotional about every little thing he did, he made me so happy. I remember rocking him to sleep and singing "first time ever I saw your face." I burst into tears and blubbered the whole way through. It was defintely love at first sight.
First Time Ever I Saw Your Face
The first time ever I saw your face
I thought the sun rose in your eyes
And the moon and stars were the gifts you gave
To the dark and the empty skies, my love,
To the dark and the empty skies.
The first time ever I kissed your mouth
And felt your heart beat close to mine
Like the trembling heart of a captive bird
That was there at my command, my love
That was there at my command.
And the first time ever I lay with you
I felt your heart so close to mine
And I knew our joy would fill the earth
And last till the end of time my love
It would last till the end of time my love
The first time ever I saw your face, your face,
your face, your face

Sammy and the veggies
Sammy loves fruits and vegetables. Today he ate 2 pears, a cucumber, and at dinner we had to tell him to eat something besides his green beans. This is him munching on his second whole cucumber for the day. The other day we had some friends over for FHE and I made chocolate cake. It was really late but we thought we'd be cool parents and let him have a piece. He was eating in the kitchen and asked one of our friends if, instead of chocolate cake, he could have "something healthy, like a carrot" I don't know where he gets it from because the rest of us love sugar.
Also, for our second project around the house I made this swing out of rope, a tree and a discount 2 X 6 at home depot.

Back by popular demand
Here is some more of Henry
Pixar bowling!! so this is what we do while the baby is eating/sleeping. We set up some toystory/ratatouille/monsters inc. toys and then tried to bowl them over with Lightning McQueen Cars. The thomas trains on both sides acted as the gutters. Sammy loved it, and I bowled over 200 for the first time in a while.
